Julius Caesar (JC) Newman immigrated to the United States in 1888 and lived the American Dream. In 1895, he founded the JC Newman Cigar Company, which today is America's oldest family owned premium cigar maker. One of JC Newman's earliest brands was Brick House. With the imposing brick house featured prominently in the label, J.C. launched his brand to honor his family heritage and his beloved childhood memories. The vintage Brick House cigar label depicts the pastoral setting similar to J.C. Newman's childhood home - the only brick house in his village. Not only did J.C. Newman's brick house serve as the family's residence, but it was also the town's tavern. There, locals and vistors alike gathered nightly to eat, drink, smoke, and enjoy each other's company. The original Brick House cigars were Cuban puros, handmade with the finest Havana tobaccos. Third-generation cigar makers, Eric and Bobby Newman, have recreated this vintage cigar brand by blending specially aged Nicaraguan tobaccos with hearty Havana Subido wrapper leaves to mathc the rich, well-balance flavor of their grandfather's Brick House cigars. Handmade in Nicaragua, these flavorful cigars are designed to be enjoyed and shared with friends - just like J.C.'s friends and family would have done 150 years ago in the original brick house.
Tasting NotesThe Brick House is a beautifully made Nicaraguan puro. It starts out earthy and crisp, yet has a distinctive flavor like no other cigar. As you experience the cool even burn of this handmade cigar, it builds into a well-rounded, smooth taste with hints of oak and maple syrup. It leaves you excited for your next Brick House cigar.
